Poisoning by Jatropha Multifida

It would appear from Clievers's Medical Jurisprudence, that poisoning by this substance is rare. It is cultivated in most gardens in Southern India, and is known as c the coral plant,' from the appearance of its flowers, or as 4 French physic-nut,' from the appearance and properties of its fruit, a three-celled coccus, about the size of a small lime, and of a pale lemon colour.
